From a percussion standpoint, I thought this was hittin! Check out the gig on Dave Letterman.

Its not that I follow Mos Def closely, but I have watched the drummer in the video Chris Dave through the years. This performance was a creatively original approach. I would bet if I were able to ask these guys how they thought the gig went, they would say it went well. It also might be the first time I’ve watched someone play the kit with three snares and a floor tom. Very nice!
